Sometimes, in order to put the puzzle pieces together, we need to look deeper to find the underlying cause to our health imbalances.  Laboratory testing can be required when we cannot clearly see what the problem is.  In BC, Naturopathic Doctors can offer extensive options for private lab testing.  At Serenity Health, we offer blood testing through Lifelabs such as thyroid, ferritin, vitamin levels, and lipid and blood sugar levels, etc.  We also offer speciality testing such as food sensitivity testing, hormone testing using saliva or dried urine, SIBO breath testing, stool analysis, various genetic testing and several others. Some extended medical plans cover the cost of private lab testing through our ND’s, however it is important to note that generally, MSP does not cover lab testing run through Naturopathic Doctors.
